ECA Film Cabaret: The Birds (1963)

Cabaret Artist: MARINA AND THE DREAMBOATS
Cabaret 6:30 pm | Film 8:00 pm

In 'The Birds', a wealthy San Francisco socialite pursues a potential boyfriend in a small Northern California town that slowly takes a turn for the bizarre when birds of all kinds suddenly begin to attack people.

Join us for a special pre-film Cabaret, in celebration of Halloween! 'MARINA AND THE DREAMBOATS' was originally a rag-tag team of regular jammers on Mo' Jam Mondays at the Nectar Lounge in Seattle. Marina had a taste, and she was hooked. She needed more horns. Fast forward to a year later, the group has opened for bands such as D'Vonne Lewis' Limited Edition, 45th St Brass and Down North. Marina writes and arranges to her heart's content for this army of a band! Plus, she sings, plays bass, and leads the band. It's like a magic show.

THE BIRDS: Director: Alfred Hitchcock - Writers: Daphne Du Maurier (from the story by), Evan Hunter (screenplay) - Stars: Rod Taylor, Tippi Hedren & Suzanne Pleshette.
